Might I suggest one change/addition?

"... yes, people do try to steal elections, but they always get caught, just as Trump got caught.“

Ms Scatton, I believe that hacking into computerized voting machines, especially those purchased from Trumpsters, but any really, can be hacked. We need to have plans and methods in place to prevent it. (Or, if not purchased from Trumpsters, from companies later bought by Trumpsters.)

Antonia, how do we get past the hurdles and actually move people who oppose Trump to act on your advice?

I’ve been thinking about one approach: maybe we should clearly identify the groups and political figures—candidates, elected officials, pundits—who are genuinely doing the right thing, and then actively reinforce and amplify them on social media.

In your view, who’s getting it right? Could you share a few examples of what “doing the right thing” looks like in practice?

And in the spirit of your point about the importance of asking the right question—hopefully this is the right one.

Sadly I just don't have the bandwidth to do this!

I am sharing your substack on other social media. I am sharing excerpts with other politicos. Coincidentally, I just left the board of one group -explaining I did not have the bandwidth'.

I have absolutely NO doubt that God damn Donald Trump and God damn Elon Musk will try (and possibly succeed) in rigging the 2026 and '28 elections. I believe Musk may have rigged the 2024 elections. Why not? It would've be easy for him. Was the 2020 election rigged? NO! Trump will say or do whatever serves his purpose. President Biden won fair and square. But Trump has said repeatedly that he WILL rig all future elections so only he and "Republicans" win. I believe he will follow through. We need a method of voting that cannot be hacked or rigged.

We have to make the distinction between "suppression": blocking people from voting or not counting their votes due to minor errors, and "theft" which involves changing the results of ballots which have been cast. The latter is very, very difficult. Suppression on the other hand is much, much easier, but we can fight it.

The 2024 election was most likely stolen. When you have MAGA controlling the companies that make and certify those "Vote Counting Computers", it is not difficult to "Rig" the election without getting caught. There is ample evidence that the certification process was inadequate, and that voter rolls were systematically purged by Malware placed in the voter registration systems (Florida) by Russian hackers. There are "non-existent" counties that contributed votes in swing states (this is easy to verify, and can be proven in court).

Down this path lies madness.

There's no evidence of actual vote tampering.

Anyone who says otherwise refuses to see much less acknowledge the evidence against their claims.
